# Five-star hotels in Madrid

> 6 five-star addresses for Madrid, separated by how the city works around them: Canalejas, the Prado, the Castellana and the Golden Mile.

## The short answer

6 five-star addresses for Madrid, separated by how the city works around them: Canalejas, the Prado, the Castellana and the Golden Mile.

## What the register checks

- Four Seasons Hotel Madrid: Canalejas, Centro. A full-service city base between Gran Via and the museum quarter, with the scale of a grand hotel and Madrid immediately outside.
- Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid: Paseo del Prado. The formal Madrid choice beside the Prado, made for travellers who want the museum axis and Retiro to shape the stay.
- Rosewood Villa Magna: Paseo de la Castellana. A quieter Castellana address with a residential rhythm, better suited to Salamanca, private meetings and a less touristic Madrid.
- Hotel Unico Madrid: Claudio Coello, Salamanca. A nineteenth century palace on the Golden Mile with a private garden, which is the rarest thing a central Madrid address can offer.
- Wellington Hotel & Spa Madrid: Velazquez, Salamanca. A protected building on Velazquez with 237 rooms, a pool and the Retiro a short walk away, which makes it the largest classic house in the district.
- Hotel Villa Real: Plaza de las Cortes, Cortes. Opposite the Congress of Deputies and inside the art triangle, with Roman mosaics and Apulian vases held in the house itself.

## Questions

### How are five-star hotels in Madrid selected?

Each hotel needs a checkable five-star classification, a location that changes how the city works and a clear reason to choose it over another address.

### How many Madrid hotels are in this register?

6. This is a deliberately short first edition, not a directory of every five-star hotel in the city.

### Does Linen Harbour rank the hotels in Madrid?

No. The numbers organise the page. They do not claim that one hotel is universally better than another. The useful distinction is fit, location and character.

### Can I book a Madrid hotel through Linen Harbour?

Not yet. Linen Harbour links to each hotel for current room information and does not handle the reservation, payment or cancellation.

### Why are there no prices on the Madrid hotel pages?

A hotel rate without dates, room type and cancellation terms is not useful. Prices will appear only when a contracted provider can supply current terms.

### Are the hotel photographs from the properties?

Not in this first edition. The register uses credited destination photography until property images with clear reuse rights are available.
